I loved your book so much! I am a sucker for magical realism with a love story, so one with a character as unique and wonderful as Weylyn- gah it just made me so happy. So my question is, how important are characters to you when writing? Thank you!

Ruth Emmie Lang Hi Zoë! Thank you so much :) When I'm writing, I probably spend the most time developing my characters. It's important to me to have characters that I can relate to and empathize with, even if the choices they make are not the ones I would make. Once I get to know them and figure out what motivates them, then the plot just falls into place!
