Sorry if this is a cliche question XD But what inspired you to write The Disasters? Also, if you could have dinner with any of the characters in the book, who would it be?

M.K. England All my books start as a tiny idea that sits in a google doc for months or years until something comes along to set it on fire. In this case, the fire-starter was Guardians of the Galaxy. Something about the tone of that movie lit up my brain and gave me Nax's voice!

Dinner with any character... I love everyone in the main cast too much to choose between them (seriously though can you imagine an amazing friendsgiving-style dinner with them?), but about halfway through the book you meet two characters who I think would have a fascinating story of their own. One is a ship mechanic, and the other is a spoiler. ;) You'll know them when you see them!
