Nenia Campbell:
I was 19 when I read my first Historical Romance by the beloved and the greatest, Bertrice Small. What is your opinion regarding her research before writing her amazing detailed books? Also, do you know of any author that write like her?

I've found inconsistencies in her books based on shallow research so I think she was probably doing the bare minimum of research to set the historical mood and provide context (which, admittedly, is still a lot of research - especially in the pre-internet days, as she did). I do enjoy some of her books, and I think if you enjoy Bertrice Small, you should check out Rosemary Rogers, Christine Monson, and Shirlee Busbee.

Hi Nenia! I just joined Unapologetic Romance Readers and am first and foremost a reader, but I am also an author. I've written mostly YA Romance (under a different name) but have the first of my new Adult and sex-filled romance series coming out next month. I was amazed how did you manage to write how Gavin was ? Making us the readers to have so many different kinds of emotions about everything he does.
