How do you get inspired to write?

S.R. Roddy There are a lot of things that inspire my writing. Most of the time it's a song that triggers a scene in my mind. Sometimes it's a conversation with my family. It can also be something as simple as a couple at the grocery store. I see or sometimes even hear a conversation and my writer's mind goes into overdrive. I find myself rewriting the scene or adding background information that brought them to that point. I write it down in the notebook I always carry with me for later us. My husband thinks I'm weird, but my kids enjoy my creativity.
