After reading your book, I was a little curious about your academic background....I remember you started medical school, and ended up withdrawing...do you have your Mster's in counseling, or PsyD/PhD? Jeff McIntosh

Lori Gottlieb Hi Jeff, I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist and my degree is a master's in clinical psychology. I know that the various letters/titles can be confusing. Marriage and family therapists go by MFT or LMFT.

Hi Lori - I really loved the raw honesty displayed in your book. It's not often that we get such an intimate look at the humanity of the therapeutic relationship. Recently I also read Every Day Gets a Little Closer by Irvin Yalom and "Ginny Elkin". The format/premise and the course of therapy described within were quite striking to me. Just curious - what did you think of this book (if you've read it)?
