Do you think it is better to start a story and see where it ends up, the same thing but having an ending in mind, or to plan out most of the story and then write it?

I never plan ahead. I always make up the story as I go along. I doubt that one method is truly better than the other. It's just that going on the journey with the characters works better for me.
