Is there any update on Reconstructing Amelia becoming a movie? I loved Where They Found Her and Reconstructing Amelia and would love to see them both in movie format!

Hi Rylie! So sorry it's taken me so long to answer you--there was something wrong with my author dashboard and I couldn't access your question.
But YES! There is actually news on BOTH film/TV version of RECONSTRUCTING AMELIA and WHERE THEY FOUND HER--unfortunately I can't share any of it quite yet. But I hope to be able to soon. I'm very excited about it, though, and I'm so glad to hear that you are looking forward to it too. Also, will be news very soon -- title, cover etc about my new adult book coming May 2020 from Harper. It's set in Park Slope like Amelia and I'm very excited about it. Hope you have a wonderful summer! All best, Kim

Hi Kimberly! I couldn't think of 1, so I have 3 questions: 1. Did Kate ever have another child? 2. Did Dylan truly love Amelia? 3. What condition did Dylan have? I would be truly grateful if you answered there questions, as Reconstructing Amelia is hands down my favourite book!

Kimberly McCreight:
In "Reconstructing Amelia", I kept hoping something would happen and Amelia would actually be alive (she was dreaming it all, somehow changed the past, etc). Don't get me wrong, I loved the story, and having lost my sister, there was a lot I appreciated about your description of grieving someone who dies too young. I'm just wondering if at any time during your writing process you considered something like this?

Reconstructing Amelia was an amazing book and I truly loved every sentence. I loved that your writing truly allowed me, as a reader, to get to know Amelia and her mother. As I read the story, the anguish Amelia's mother felt and her need for answers was portrayed so intensely. Are you a mother and did you write her perspective from how you think you would've felt if you were in her situation?
