It is a lot like Dave Grohl's advice to aspiring musicians...write...write every day. Then put it down. Reread it later and see if it is what you thought it was going to be. That and edit, edit, edit. Then have someone else read and edit. Welcome the feedback, even the negative stuff...that will help you develop your craft.
