How is it that Remarkably Great (#2) has a publication date that is a year earlier than Strangely, Incredibly Good (#1)? I mean, I've heard of new series beginning as a prequel like in Star Wars, but how does #2 in the same series come out before #1?

No, it's because Strangely, Incredibly Good was first published by Morning Rain Publishing in 2014. Then Graceful Publications Published the sequel Remarkably Great in 2015, and then Graceful Publications gained the rights to Strangely, Incredibly Good and reissued it with a new cover in 2016. It's just a new publisher, new cover, same story.
