Goodreads asked P. Stormcrow:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

P. Stormcrow So forewarning, I'm from the school of hard knocks.

Every time I feel like I'm blocked, I have a drill sergeant in my head requoting what Warren Ellis once said about giving up:

"There is no such goddamn thing. There is only getting up and doing it all over again, smarter and harder, until something ups and f------ kills you, because that’s the only thing big enough to stop you. This is The Great Work, and all you have to do is choose it, not look back and never fucking stop until you’re in your box, under the dirt and flowers are growing between your teeth"

He has much gentler advice about writer' block, stepping back and doing other things. For me, it's to keep writing even if I know what comes out is garbage because the very act of writing gets the flow going eventually. And if I'm really really stuck, I switch to messing around with graphics. Because graphics.
