Hello!!!! I am a huge fan of your books and just have a few questions. How did so much of the knowledge that brin surely would have written down get messed up in riyira? Are the gods even the gods? If not what powers do they have, because ferrols law is real. Does the door lead to the afterlife or alysin? How does mawndule learn how to create things without sacrifice? Do any other art users know how to do this and why

(view spoiler)[Hey Daegan. I'm not sure how far through the Legends of the First Empire series you currently are. The last book (Age of Empyre) isn't "officially out" but there are about 4,200 people who are reading it as part of an early order through a Kickstarter. But much of what is asking about is covered through that series, and I don't want to say too much in case you are only partway through the entire tale. I'm going to send you a direct message, to address some of your questions. (hide spoiler)]

I have really enjoyed listening to your Legends of the First Empire and look forward to the 6th book coming soon! I wanted to start listening to your Riyria books and I was wondering if you could recommend which books to start with and the chronological order to follow with? You have become one of my favorite authors along with Robert Jordan, Michael Wisehart, Terry Mancour, Brandon Sanderson and R.A. Salvadore!

Hi Michael, I am an avid fan of your books. After reading The Riyria Revelations several times I am conflicted by one of the characters. Is it your intention for Amelia to be an opportunist? I view the majority her actions involving Empress Modina to be in her own interests and not out of loyalty or love. I do not fault the character either way, i'm just curious as to your view of her.

Hello Michael, I'm a huge fan of the Riyra series, and just recently started reading the Legends of The First Empire and have become even more addicted! I love illustrating your characters as I see them in my mind, however I do have one specific question on the Fhrey's appearance. They have "tear drop" shaped eyes, but is the round part of the tear facing inwards or outwards on their face?
