Regarding the “rules” for how the alternate universes would work in Dark Matter, were they pretty rigid in your mind throughout the writing process or did you find yourself wanting to bend them to further or simplify the plot?

Do you have a set routine for your writing? Or do you write when the urge strikes you and can't stop for hours? In essence, are you very much structured or is it like an urge you gave to go with? I very much liked your creatures in the Wayward series and was curious where the idea of them came from?
