I really enjoy how you are able to take complex concepts in theoretical physics and explain them in understandable ways. Do you have a background in physics, or did you accomplish this through self study while planning your books?

My background is a boring old English degree. So it's all through self study and working with subject matter experts.

I lived in Roscoe Village in Chicago for many years. I recall Dark Matter beginning there, but the descriptions didn't match the real Roscoe Village neighborhood. I wonder if that was on purpose to set the story up in an alternate reality from the beginning? If so do we ever land in our reality within the book?

I love your books, Blake! I'm always searching for a new author to add to my very long list. But there's a lot of, um, junk out there. Jeff Menapace is a new find, he's a solid read. Dick Wybrow has a great series about a ghost who's also a detective, love all of his stuff. And, I've chewed through every Caimh McDonnel book, they amazing. Are there any new-ish writers you've found you could recommend?
