It seems that many artists, like yourself, are inspired to write from painful experiences, or those experiences help mold a story or a character. Do you think that the current Covid crisis will inspire future writings, and if so, what research into personal experiences would you conduct vs strictly imagination on a warped version of the virus? Or do you have no plans for considering an epidemic type scifi story?

Blake Crouch That's a great question. Whether indirectly or directly, this crisis will effect all of us, including artists, writers. It's too early to know how this will effect my future books. I'm certain it will have a big impact, maybe not so much in terms of writing an epidemic story, but more about unpacking the sense of vulnerability and fear and gratefulness and all the complicated, intertwined emotions this crisis is bringing out in all of us.
