I once read that inspiration for the cases in the Tempe Brennan books came from your own experiences. Is this still true for the new books?

Yes. Although I have not worked a case in some years, I still keep in constant contact with colleagues working on interesting cases. Also, an idea from a case I worked on in the mid 90s was used in A Conspiracy of Bones. Remains were found in a forested area and were badly decomposed and scattered due to scavenging by bears. My skeletal autopsy suggested a white female in her forties. The profile matched that of a local woman missing for several months. The victim's boyfriend, a recently paroled felon, was eventually convicted of her murder.

I've read all 18 of the Tempe books and look forward to reading the next one. So much better & different than the "Bones" tv show, although I like that also. I was wondering if you will ever write a sequel to, or continue the "Two Nights" novel. I really liked the characters and story?

I love your books! I am also delighted that more women are entering the field of forensic anthropology. What kind of "mind set" do you think it takes for one to be a successful forensic anthropologist? Also, are you still traveling to Canada to assist with cases, teach, etc.?
