Though I don't read Romance, I love The Vampire Knitting Club & The Great British Baking Show. The TVKC is such a novel (pun intended) idea for a cosy series. I was hooked from the start. Where did the idea for that series come from?

Nancy Warren Hi Catherine, I'm so sorry to be answering this so late. I have written 4 more books since you asked, so I hope you'll forgive me. Thanks for asking. I had the idea for a long time. Do you remember when The Friday Night Knitting Club was a huge hit? It was about the time I got hooked on Charlaine Harris's vampire novels and I thought, wouldn't that be a fun mash-up? And The Vampire Knitting Club was born :) The Great Witches Baking Show is pure homage to Bake-Off, which I love. And I thought, how much fun would it be if murders kept happening during a TV baking contest...
