A Goodreads user asked C.J. Archer:

How many drafts do you usually go through before you send it to your publisher? Or do you self-publish? By the way how much money does it usually cost to self-publish?

C.J. Archer I edit every day by going over what I wrote that day, then do an edit of the full thing at the end. Then let it sit for a few weeks, do another edit, then send to my editor. After she sends it back, I make the changes that I agree with. I self-publish my books. The cost is different for each author and depends on their editor, cover artist, audiobook narrator, and whether they advertise. If you're interested, you should join some self-publishing groups on Facebook.
