Goodreads asked P.I. Barrington:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

P.I. Barrington For me it's the satisfaction that I am entertaining readers. I'm not trying to make some deep thematic statement on society. I'm just trying to take people on an emotional journey; make them laugh or cry or surprise them in some way they don't expect. I want them to love or even hate my characters--just as long as they feel something. I want to suck them in and make them think they've been somewhere! I write for a wide audience; I don't stay strictly within genre boundaries, never have. If readers tell me they like my work and it affected them in some way--that's the best part.
