I just finished the The Mark of the Midnight Manzanilla, loved it! So glad you decided to write this book instead of going right for the final book in the series. Sally deserved her own book, as well as her own duke, and it was lovely to see Turnip again. So here's my question, what ever happened to the big jewel search? Have Colin and Eloise given up on it? Lauren Willig Melissa, I'm so sorry to leave you hanging for months! I just saw this now. I'm so glad you enjoyed Sally's story. On the jewel front, they found some of the jewels at the end of "Purple Plumeria" (hidden under brown paint as brass tacks on the front of the large folio copy of "The Castle of Otranto"). As to what happened to the rest of the jewels... we might never know.
