how do you decide on a character's name? do you research names or think them up?

Christine Feehan I do both. If the character is from a certain country I will look up names from that country. Otherwise I make them up. Sometimes I'll have a theme, like with the GhostWalkers, the women all have flower names. The Torpedo Ink characters have Russian names. The Carpathian names vary.
And sometimes I may hear a name and love it.
