A Goodreads user asked Brian Christopher Shea:

Hey Brian, Got a question, in "Kill List", the Dust Devil had specific target with each bombing but I must have missed the intended target of the bus at the stop in front of Declans' bank where he saved the FBI agent and himself. Am I overthinking? In addition, I would love to see Declan added as one of your list of protagonists. There are so many levels that could be uncovered from him. Thanks, Karen

Brian Christopher Shea Great question, Karen. Initially, the targets were selected to cripple soft targets: public transportation, small town sporting events, and leisure/recreation (areas often overlooked but are critical to the American way of life.). The attacks took on a more personal nature as the story progresses as the killer specifically targets Declan and his former teammates.

Speaking of Declan, I have been toying with a way of giving him his own series. I'm glad to hear you'd be interested, should I find a way. I'll keep you posted on that :)
