I'm reading What Lies Between Us and before starting, I hadn't realised it is set in the town I grew up in! Do you still live in the Shire?! I was a regular at the Roadmender, Slurps on Bridge Street and the other many bars in town in the 90's/00's. This book is giving me all the nostalgia feels.

Yes I still live in the Hamptons! I was also a town centre regular in the late 80s and early 90s and probably through much of the 90s thinking about it. The road Mender of course finished off most nights after visits to Forties, BCs and Muswells. Then as we got older, it was all about Aunty Ruth’s and the black bottom club. Happy days!
