Hi Cornelia, I'm a big fan of 'The Thief Lord' and the 'Inkheart' series - I am so excited to hear of a fourth book being released soon! I particularly love your descriptions of nature and insights into each of your characters. I was wondering whether you know that you'll be turning it into a series when you begin to write about a new idea, and if so, do you plan out what will happen in each book from the very start?

Cornelia Funke I didn't know it would be a series, TK. And no, I don't plan much ahead. I like the story to tell me. I set pace and time and sometimes a theme I follow.
