Well, first off, if I can do it, then you can too! Getting my first book published took me over an entire year to do so. And at one point, I totally gave up on it. I was too busy with school and volleyball to devote my entire time to it, let alone overcome my major writer's block.
If you truly wanted something, you would make time for it. My advice for all those authors out there, regardless of their age, is to just keep persevering. Keep writing. Can't write? Then revise the work you already have. Can't edit? Then brainstorm ideas for new books. It always gives the mind a fresh restart if you switch up the content you're writing.
