Do you plan the entire series in the beginning or just take it book-by-book? Like for Hellbent, do you have each book already plotted or only Falls Boys? Just curious about your writing style in regards to series!

Penelope Douglas I plan the bones of it, yes. The series hook and who's with who and what I want the general plot to be, but I don't plot the details of scenes or the endings until I get to that book.

I think most writers find they need to be in love with what they're writing. I don't want to fall in love with a story that's five books away, so I try not to get in too deep in my head until I can devote my full attention to those characters. Readers can tell when they read your books if your heart was somewhere else. This is probably why I can't write two books at the same time ;)
