What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Emmy Grayson Frankenstein's House! Around the corner from my childhood home was a plot of land that backed up to a prairie. In the woods was the remains of a stone basement from a house that had burned down long ago. I loved crawling around the stones and pretending like there was treasure, or something more sinister depending on my mood, buried underneath the dirt. I never dug to find out...perhaps in a future story a child decides to dig and uncovers something dastardly.
