A few questions from a young (re)writer: How do you plan a book? Do you ever get writers block? If so, how do you overcome it? If not, how do you funnel ideas down to just one?
Sebastien de Castell
Those are some huge questions, and I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to answer them coherently. My best advice is actually to avoid too many different sources of writing advice because everyone's answers will sound good and feel meaningful, but they'll also end up taking you in different directions. Instead, I'd suggest going to your local library or bookstore, find a single book on novel writing that looks good to you, and just follow the process detailed there – stick to it even when you don't think the book is turning out well. In the end, your first novel is like your first marathon: you're not trying to "win", you're trying to train yourself to be able to finish.
Good luck with your writing!

My brother showed me your book (Traitor's Blade) a couple of years ago. He picked it up because it sounded good. I finally bought a copy and I'm on page 58 having just started today. I just wanted to tell you that it's damn good. Your writing is excellent and the dialogue is stellar. Right out of the gate you've endeared me to the main characters. I've ordered the next two already. When's the movie?

Congratulations on the release of the german edition of "Shadowblack"! I'm a bookseller and I recommended Spellslinger to every young reader who likes magic, action and wit. Within weeks the parents got hooked as well and preordered Shadowblack haha. I take it that the sales are going well? Also, the authors information of the german edition states that you are currently living in the Netherlands. Is that accurate?
