Bill Quatier
Bill Quatier asked John Grisham:

When you have characters that span multiple books - sometimes written many years apart - how do you keep track of all of the details in their lives and world? Is it all in your head? Do you have one of those "Stalker Walls" we see on crime procedurals with stuff written everywhere and yarn between scraps of paper? Or have you logged everything in a software package?

John Grisham I don’t keep it all straight and I screw up all the time. It’s the hardest part of
writing sequels or series, especially when they’re written years apart. I’m forced to review the older books, which is tedious, and make a lot of notes. Still, I screw up.
