Where does the phrase in Ancestral Night, “Thank Albert” come from? Is it a reference to Victoria’s consort in the 19th century England? Or something else?

After reading Ancestral Night (very good, btw) I went back to read Hammered, and when I got to the part about flying a starship in VR, it seems like both books could actually be in the same universe.
