K.S. Trenten
K.S. Trenten asked Elizabeth Bear:

Where does the phrase in Ancestral Night, “Thank Albert” come from? Is it a reference to Victoria’s consort in the 19th century England? Or something else?

Elizabeth Bear I was thinking of the very famous 20th century physicist. :D

Ernest
Ernest asked Elizabeth Bear:

After reading Ancestral Night (very good, btw) I went back to read Hammered, and when I got to the part about flying a starship in VR, it seems like both books could actually be in the same universe. Any chance? "I’m flying blind, and it’s like water-skiing in the dark. I can feel the shape of space like a pressure against my skin. No—more like a pressure a few feet away from my skin." Bear, Elizabeth. Hammered

Scott Thomas
Scott Thomas asked Elizabeth Bear:

Excited to see _The Folded Sky_ coming this June, and wondering if there's any likelihood of a hardcover release? It's going on my TBR pile either way, but in the long wrong, I definitely prefer non-paperbacks. Much thanks! :)
