Hello, Uncle Rick! This question popped up just yesterday and I can't believe I get to ask you this! My name is Khashya and this question is quite silly. Before starting the Percy Jackson book series, did you think of any other names for Percy, Annabeth and Grover? If so, what were they? Also, I can't wait to see the new show! 😁❤️

Rick Riordan It's a good question. In fact, no, their names were always Percy, Annabeth and Grover. They just came to me as I was telling my son the first version of the Lightning Thief, and the names stuck. I guess they were meant to be!
