Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Cynthia Sharp Basically, I wanted to do for poetry and the application of linguistics theory to editing, what Elements of Style does for grammar - condense twenty years of experience and study into a simple, easy to read and follow guide. I was recently invited to offer storytelling and creative writing workshops through North America, and as I was choosing from my repertoire of lesson plans which ones to adapt into mindfulness workshops, How to Write Poetry was born. It is essentially the material that has worked best in my career of teaching, tutoring, writing and editing.
