Marco Bucci asked Nick Cutter:

Thanks for answering my previous question! Do you have time for one more? What's your general approach when it comes to editing (or re-writing)? Do you tend to plow straight ahead through a sizeable chunk of writing before going back later with an editor's eye? Or do you flip back and forth between writer and editor constantly? Thanks again for your time!

Nick Cutter The first. I get the whole book or story down in rough, then go back. I might make minor amendments to yesterday's work the next day, or go back and make small adjustments to suit the way the narrative's changed since I wrote earlier bits, but overall it's get it down in one piece then go back and start editing.
