Linwood Barclay:
New cover (new release?) of The Accident in e format. Just read it. I am pretty sure I read it back in 2011 but no Goodreads post. LOVED IT Can't find it on Goodreads today (Sep 11/23) under new cover/date. The two listing show publication dates on editions 1700? and 1865? Is anyone at DoubleDay dealing with this? I refuse to post a review on an addition I've not read. Thanks.

You've got me. I am delighted you enjoyed it but have no idea what editions 1700 or 1865 mean. All I know is I have a new trade paperback edition of The Accident. It's news to me they offered a new e format edition, but I am not surprised at all that they have done that. Next time I am talking to the folks at Doubleday Canada I will ask. (They are not my current publisher, but do have the rights on my older books.)

You have a very laid-back, accessible style that is a welcome change from the self-conscious type of writing so often seen in CanLIt. Mr. Barclay, I just wanted to say I finished reading your book "No Time for Goodbye" and I have to say it was brilliant. It kept me guessing till the very end, the twists and turns were intricately woven in the plot, and I genuinely enjoyed the humorous parts here and there. I really wish this book would be turned into a movie! Can't wait to read more of your books, Cheers Emily (?)
