Goodreads asked H.M. Shander:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

H.M. Shander One evening, my family and I were out with friends when the idea jumped into my head. What would happen if someone with vehicular PTSD fell in love with someone whose passion was all things cars? Think of all the conflict that could create. I couldn't stop thinking about it and was probably a bit of a recluse as the ideas swirled in my head. ;)

I went home and started writing my character sketches for my two main characters. Aurora's name went through a couple of changes, she was originally written as a Jasmine. Nate was Nate. There was no question in my mind who he was and what his passion was all about.

Of course, to make Nate's character authentic, I needed to do some research. And the research was the best part of writing the book. I got up close and personal with a passion I did not know much about. Mental notes, videos and conversations, I had constructed the core. Passion vs terror.

Although at the heart of the story is the romance, there is also a few action packed scenes that were as fun to write, as they were to watch. What am I talking about? LOL - you'll need to read Duly Noted to find out. But everyone agrees, it's HOT and sexy as hell!
