Trine Lise asked Rick Riordan:

Is there a reason Olujime from The Dark Prophecy is so fleshed out, even though he doesn't have an important role in the book? He gave me strong Hero of Another Story vibes, to the point where I started to wonder if he really was taken from/inspired by a different book or story. Or was he mainly intended to establish the existence of other pantheons in this world, beyond the ones we've already seen?

Rick Riordan I glad he seemed so fleshed out to you! That wasn't intentional, making him any more fleshed out than the other characters, but I agree he is a fascinating character with untapped possibilities. And yes, he does hint at the fact that there are many mythologies in the world that we aren't covering in the Percy Jackson adventures.
