Hi Michael, I love your story telling and enjoyed your books immensely during the covid lockdown. Many thanks. You seldom reference Irish traits to any of your characters. When you do however they are very un complementary. Is there a reason? Kind regards, Aideen

Hi Aiden, I had no idea I'd offended the Irish. I know that in some of my early books I had references to the IRA and one or two of my villains have had an Irish background. Then again, after eighteen books, I've had villains of various nationalities and genders. In the past I've been criticised for having a villain with a Jewish name, accused of pandering to stereotypes, which was never my intention. I have a quarter Irish blood in me and was raised a Roman Catholic, and have loved my many visits to Ireland. I apologise if I've caused any offence. Best M

Just finished Good Girl Bad Girl. Great book. I loved the Joe O'Loughlin series and hope one day he resurfaces, but as an author, does a 9 book series challenge you in terms of your own enthusiasm and motivation? ie. did you need to develop a new cast to maintain your own passion, or was there another reason as to why you'd desist with continuing a hugely popular series? Oh, and when can we expect Cyrus #2 in Oz?

Michael Robotham:
Hi Mr. Robotham. I just finished Good Girl, Bad Girl quickly followed by When She Was Good. I thoroughly enjoyed reading both. Evie and Cyrus are both excellent characters with great depth, and I feel like we are just scratching the surface, mostly with Cyrus since we did get more on Evie in #2. I really look forward to you getting to explore them both some more, while keeping all the fun sidekicks around (Badger!?)
