Writing suspense and thrillers after your beginnings as a romance writer, did you ever consider writing under a different name?

Tami Hoag I didn't because I transitioned from romance to romantic suspense and had already built a great following there, so it would have counterproductive at that point to change names. Now the only reason I would ever consider a pseudonym would be if I wanted to try writing something that was drastically different from what I'm known for.

Do you have a "system" of some kind, are you a writer who "lets the book write itself," or something in between? Please describe that creative process for us.
