How did you get published, I mean, did you have to pay an initial fee? And what did your parents think of your plans to become a writer?

Alice Oseman Nope, the author never has to pay anything in traditional publishing. If someone tries to make you pay, they're scamming you.
My parents were very supportive, proud, and excited for me!
