Hey Jeff, I came across your novelization of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, I literally laughed out loud and bought that sucker. What possessed you to write it and how did you get the rights?

The publisher, Encyclopocalypse Publications, handled all of the rights. (Which was relatively simple because there was no studio involved; they dealt with the filmmakers directly.)
Over many years I'd occasionally thought about how much fun it would be to adapt that movie into a book. I wouldn't have done it if they'd demanded strict adherence to the film, but having almost total creative freedom let me go crazy with the project.
