Dear Gary, I am desperately looking for your novel “Confessions of the Creature” (2008/2012), which is currently out of print. I am writing a paper on Frankenstein sequels (I am an academic) and this seems to perfect for that. Do you happen to know where one could obtain a copy (hardcopy or e-book)? I tried the usual (Amazon, Abebooks) but to no avail. Thank you for your help! Barbara Braid

Dear Barbara,
The following is taken from my August 16, 2024 GR blog post regarding the closing of Fireship Press:
"Indie publisher Fireship/Cortero Press has ceased operations. Fireship published my novels 'Confessions of the Creature' (2012) and 'The Flower to the Painter' (2011)....'Confessions of the Creature' and 'The Flower to the Painter' are now out of print, and I have no plans to seek a new publisher for these novels. I've been informed that paperback editions of both books will remain for sale on Amazon until the stock runs out...."
I just checked Amazon, and it appears they still have some paperbacks listed as for sale.

Just came across a wonderful paragraph on p. 103 of "Devil," Gary. It elevates the whole novel beyond the mystery/procedural genre. This is Marcia speaking: "Lately, I've been thinking a lot about my life and career. At some point I made a crucial decision. Putting up all my talent and skill as collateral, I borrowed beauty from nature and invested her precious treasure in my art....(ran out of space)?
