Leslie asked H.Y. Hanna:

Hello, Would you consider your Big Honey Dog Mysteries to be fairplay mysteries, that is, would the reader be able to follow along with the clues and solve the mystery?

H.Y. Hanna Hi Leslie! Yes, I think so - there is a lot of foreshadowing early on in the stories and clues there pointing to the answers, although hopefully - if I've done my job well enough! :-) - the reader wouldn't realise until they get to the end that there were clues there all along.

The second book (A Secret in Time) is more like a traditional whodunnit with several contenders for the villain and you have to decide which clues are the red herrings, etc - the first book (Curse of the Scarab) is more like a suspense story, where you have a good idea of the villain but you're not sure how/what/where - and there is a clock ticking! :-)

The HOLIDAY Collection is made up of 3 short holiday-themed mysteries which are simpler - but there are still clues pointing to the answer as well, especially in Treasure from the Past (the Easter special)

Thanks for your interest! :-)
