Hi, Erik, I like your books because they tie in so many facts from disparate streams! I can hardly wait to read Lusitania! Did you investigate trans atlantic travels of Americans and citizens of other non combatant nations? There are so many fascinating letters and journals!

Erik Larson I drill deep on one ship--the Lusitania. However, as part of my research, my wife and I did a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 2. Very valuable. Only when you're out in the middle of the Atlantic in a storm (in our case a Force 10 gale) do you appreciate how alone you really are when you're at sea, even today.
