Goodreads asked Stuart Meczes:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Stuart Meczes Keep writing. Writer's block doesn't really exist - it's a lack of confidence in your own ability mixed in with falling out of the habit of writing itself. Write anything - a journal entry, a story about a goat, a list of things that irritate you - anything you want. Just write. Better yet, write a scene involving the characters from your book - chances are something in there will give you the surge you need to get going again.
