Goodreads asked Ottilie Weber:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Ottilie Weber Do your research. I don't want you to dive into a company or get an editor that you are unfamiliar with. I've never had a problem with Indie Authors, so don't be afraid to ask one a question, we're all learning together. There is no such thing as too much editing, don't be afraid to ask someone else to go through it because they might find a plot hole you wouldn't have thought of. Tough skin, you will not get all 5 star reviews. Take the comments and grow in a way that helps your writing, taking their comments and learn. Or if you get bad comments don't comment back, don't write a blog post about trolls, or anything because the internet is like a tattoo you might think it's gone, but you can still see it. If you are found to be nasty or whatever that could case away future readers.
