Hi Mrs. Hoyt! :D I would like to know, what research did you do for the maiden lane series as it was set in the Georgian era….?

Hi Alice!
I did lots of reading about Georgian England when first started writing--everything from histories to diaries. Now I read more specific-subject books. I just finished The Cambridge Companion to British Theatre 1730-1830 (edited by Jane Moody & Daniel O'Quinn) Next up will be Opera and Drama in Eighteenth-Century London by Ian Woodfield.
But I also like to do visual research: visiting museums, pinning photos on Pinterest, and looking at artwork. One of my favorite artists of this time period is William Hogarth. Here's the board I recently started for his artwork on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/elizabethho....

I loved "Duke of Sin" so much that I had to enjoy in both the print and audiobook versions. Do you have any interaction with the audiobook-making process? For example, do you have any say as to narrator and do you give them any background info or instructions to help them find their characterizations of the protagonists? Do you have a preference as to whether the narrator for your books should be male or female?
