I only recently discovered your work, and I must admit that this is the most attached I've ever become to characters. With that said, I recently read on your website regarding the 3rd book in Riyria Chronilces, is this a sequel to the Heir of Novron? Thank you for your time.

Hey N'igel, I'm so glad you have found the books and are enjoying them. The new book (tentatively titled The Death of Dulgath) is a prequel, sequel, and neither.
That needs some explaining. From a chronological perspective it occurs "after" The Rose and Thorn but "before" Theft of Swords - hence the sequel and prequel comment. But, from a story line standpoint, it's not interwoven with any "major plot lines" of any of the other eight books. This is done so that it can be enjoyed by both veteran Riyria readers and those who have never read any of the other books. In other words, it provides an excellent "entry point" for those trying to decide if they want to read the other eight books.
Many people want to know what happens after Heir of Novron - and I may write more on that someday. But the Revelations series was very carefully planned and choreographed. It ended "exactly" how I wanted it to, and I don't want to risk what I consider "the perfect ending" by tacking on. Plus, unlike the Death of Dulgath - which anyone can read - any follow-up to Heir of Novron could ONLY be read by people who finished Revelations as to do so beforehand would naturally expose spoilers.

Michael, I would like to know if you have thought about continuing on with Royce's Story? The Riyria story was concluded with what seemed to be a new beginning. A huge change for Royce in particular. Will we get a chance to see what happens next? I really would love more! Riyria=never boring or old whether Royce and Hadrian are separated or not. P.S.ALL your novels are Brilliant! More is always better! From, Adrian
