I LOVE the idea you had for this series, manipulate man made objects into something magical.I love Ceony! I am not used to reading young adult so I felt myself reaching deeper but I gather young adult authors don't get as technical into things or thoughts of character.Being so intrigued with your premise for this series, do you wish you wrote for a different genre to be able to really play it out?
Charlie N. Holmberg
While The Paper Magician is a simplistic story, I would never say YA authors don’t get technical. There are hundreds of complex novels written for teenaged eyes—they’re an audience that’s constantly evolving, which can make writing YA a challenge! I wrote the book the way it is because that’s how I envisioned it: sweet, simple, and short. So no regrets here. :)

I just finished Magic Bitter, Magic Sweet and I read it in a day. I couldn't stop, it was just to enjoyable. I also read and loved the The Paper Magician trilogy. I have a pretty simple question.... can I live in a world created by your imagination? seriously, it would be so awesome if those worlds existed somewhere! I hope you never stop writing. thank you for being so creative!!!!

Dear Ms. Holmberg, Thank you for your work. I have happily lost many hours of sleep staying in the worlds you have created. Recently I finished Followed by Frost and loved the relationship between Smitha and Lo. I was wondering if you would ever consider writing a novella telling the journey and relationship from his POV? Thank you for your time.
