Goodreads asked Arshad Ahsanuddin:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Arshad Ahsanuddin 1. Write your first draft all the way through before going back to revise. If you continually revisit previous material, you will never finish the first draft, which is the basis for all further development.

2. Know your middle and ending beforehand, even if you choose not to write a full outline. You can change your mind later, as new ideas develop while writing the book, but always have a strong sense of where you're going and how you plan to get there.
