What would you do if you were working on a book and you were almost finished and then suddenly, it all got deleted? Would you freak out? (I definitely would)

Shannon Messenger Oh yes, there would be major freaking out. Likely some crying too. Not just because of the hard work lost, but because I owe my books on deadlines, so for something like that to happen would be devastating.

Which is why I am so insanely, obsessively careful about backing up my drafts multiple places and saving my work all the time and and and. The most I've ever lost is a paragraph or two--and here's hoping it stays that way.

(And if you're a writer and you're not backing up your work, you REALLY need to start doing that. )

I also have a question: Do you ever get hate mail? How does it feel if you do? I would send you fan mail, but I can't because I don't think my parents will let.
