Cintia
Cintia asked Lecia Cornwall:

Hi, my name is Cintia and I'm from Argentina. Being a writer is what I want the most in this world, nothing makes me happier than writing, but I'm more and more frustrated with each passing day, because I've been blocked for 3 years. And it is not that I have an unfinished story. I have NOTHING AT ALL. A blank page in front of me, that only makes me sadder... Is there a way to overcome this? How do you handle it?

Lecia Cornwall Hi Cintia! There is so much story inspiration around you to get you going. Start by keeping a journal or diary, perhaps, and just writing a paragraph or two every day. Watch people around you (I love doing this at the airport whenever I'm there). Make up stories about who they are, where they're going, and why. Imagine what secrets they might hold. I find inspiration in movies, too—what if the character made a different choice than the one the scriptwriter gave them? What if the movie's heroine chose the best friend instead of the hero in the last scene?
I also believe in never letting a blank page go to waste—even if you doodle on that page, let your imagination wander while you do. It might generate new ideas. I wish you the very best of luck, and all the inspiration in the world. LECIA
